Three languages that pay: see how French, English and Luganda work gets paid. The easiest start: record voice files from your phone, as some Andovar posts ask.

1. Andovar posts voice projects

Number five: Andovar posts voice projects, with the pay on each post. Pick a post in your own language, fill in the form, and record. One French post lists a hundred fifty-eight euros per hour of approved recording. Each post sets its own pay, so read yours first.

The English post's sessions run fifteen to sixty minutes, about thirty on average. Its sign-up form lists African languages like Yoruba, Zulu, Xhosa, Swahili and Hausa. Some posts ask for a smartphone and a quiet room indoors to record. That English post wants natural, back-and-forth talk, filler words included.

No technical expertise is required for it, that post says. Projects open and close often, so check the list of posts each week. One English post lists $50 per finished audio hour. PayPal works for any amount, and payment comes within fifteen working days of billing.

Wire transfers start from $50. Say Maya finishes one thirty-minute session on that English post. By our count, half an hour at $50 an hour comes to twenty-five. Recordings must pass its quality and compliance review to be paid.

PayPal fees are about 4% of each transfer, the payout page says. That's one post's rate, not a promise of how many sessions you'll get. Check weekly, and next we explore full translation jobs with custom pay. Subscribe to uncover the official payment details behind more side income opportunities like these.

Every step and rule in this video comes straight from official pages linked below.

2. Tomedes, a translation company that recruits translators worldwide

Number four: Tomedes, a translation company that recruits translators worldwide. Its language list names Luganda. You decide how much you're ready to be paid for each job. Payments go out monthly, thirty days after the project ends.

Send one invoice by the tenth, with all of last month's projects. If the invoice is approved on time, you're paid between the twentieth and the thirtieth. Register for free, and it emails you when a job is waiting. Say Leo finishes a translation in July.

By our count, he invoices by August tenth and is paid between August twentieth and thirtieth. PayPal, bank transfer and Payoneer are the methods it lists. Anything other than PayPal needs its finance team's approval first. Next, explore French writing orders where client budgets appear upfront.

3. Redacteur.com, a French-language site where clients order texts

Number three: Redacteur.com, a French-language site where clients order texts. Each order gives the word count and the theme, and some are audio transcriptions. When you apply, you already know the amount you'll receive. You can withdraw what you've earned once the total passes thirty euros.

The money is sent within seven days to three weeks of your request. Payment goes by bank transfer or PayPal, your choice. Asking for payment once a month at most is recommended. Say Maya writes four texts at ten euros each.

By our count, that's forty euros, past the thirty-euro line. Any transfer fees are paid by the person withdrawing. Every request to join is reviewed first. And it asks for a registered business, with your company's registration number.

Next, see how tech challenges award prizes to the top performers.

4. Zindi, a site of AI challenges where the winners get prizes

Number two: Zindi, a site of AI challenges where the winners get prizes. A prize isn't a wage: only the top places are paid. One speech challenge focused on Lingala, Shona and Luganda. Its first prize was $4,000.

Second place got $2,500, and third 2,000. By our count, the three place prizes add up to $8,500, all for winners. Creating a free profile takes minutes, its home page says. That challenge is completed, so watch the list for new ones.

Winners are paid by bank transfer, or PayPal for a hundred dollars or less, with no payout day stated. You'll need AI and data skills. Next, discover our top spot featuring dedicated translation assignments right now.

5. Stepes, a translation company with a page of Luganda translation jobs

Number one: Stepes, a translation company with a page of Luganda translation jobs. Stepes recruits, evaluates and qualifies expert translators, its page says. Its page lists French Creole to Luganda jobs. Pay varies by language pair, type of service and how complex the content is.

No payment date is stated; the terms come at onboarding. Create a profile with your languages, your experience and your tools. Say Nia translates from French and English into Luganda. By our count, that's two language pairs to list on her profile.

Some applicants take a test, an interview or a reference check. Approval doesn't guarantee a set amount of work, the page says. This page asks for professional native Luganda translators with at least three years of experience. Watch part one next for six extra opportunities waiting for your skills.

Part 2 of Freelance in Your Own Language: five sites with paid work in French, English and Luganda, for an ordinary adult anywhere: Andovar's voice and language data projects, Tomedes for translators (its language list names Luganda), Redacteur.com for writing orders in French (it asks for a registered business), Zindi's AI challenges (prizes for winners, not wages; one speech challenge focused on Lingala, Shona and Luganda), and Stepes' Luganda translation jobs (for professional translators). Every rate, payout rule and language name comes from each site's own pages, read on October 31, 2026, with one count of our own per item. Pay and projects change, so read each post before you apply. The names are invented examples. Nothing here promises income. Part 1 is linked below. This video is information only, not financial advice, and the mascot is a fictional character.
